The Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff is facing Economic and political storm which a large population of the local populace blame her directly. The most significant of the accusations is the Multi-billion dollar scandal focus on the country’s petroleum giant PETROBRAS which she used to be the chairman as a result of this ,it has decreased her authority and that of the government .She is being forced to resign or impeached .
The President’s opponent in congress need to draw 2/3 majority to begin the impeachment process. The impeachment is focus on the actions of the President has manipulated government’s accounts to hide the growing deficit.
The President said what is going on is an attempted coup d’état to overthrow a democratically elected government.
There have being series of protest all around the country. Brazil’s economy shrank 3.8% in 2015
The Petrobras scandal which started by Construction companies forming cartels to secure contract from state run oil giant Petrobras. The contract was overpriced and the extra money was used to pay Petrobras executives, middlemen and also political parties mainly the government coalition
