As Ghanaian fashion week continues Designers from the world have come to showcase their collection .Most designers came in showing designs with inspiration from African roots .Mzukis I Mbane,Imprint ,South Africa disclosed that his choice of fabric is” the Inspiration, that knowing what the collection is about and selecting a print that communicates what he wants to communicate with the collection”.
Designers like Korlekie based in the UK was also present to showcase her collection which she said takes her inspiration from “fairy tales and Royalty from different parts of the world.
The Fashion Week also included a Cocktail Party which saw the likes of Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim, Kemi and Julia who are famous models from Nigeria and Ghana respectively.
The event was made memorable with everyone playing their role in their own specialty. Charlotte Mensah-2013 AFRO HAIRDRESSER OF THE YEAR, BRITISH HAIR STYLISH AWARDS, was keeping the hair of the models in natural texture, with some little twist, curly just to keep the hair natural .She disclosed her inspiration comes from keeping it simple and not rigid. Ifan Ifeanyi Michael – Stylist from Nigeria was there to grace the occasion.
