Abraham Attah is a young Ghanaian actor born on June 15 2001. He came into the spotlight with his feature film debut in BEASTS OF NO NATION (2015).He played the leading role of child soldier, Agu.
“Beast of Nation “director Cary Fukunaga said Attah was a street vendor before he shot the film. Initially Attah had to fight for the role with about 30 of potential bunch of kids. He also featured in a short movie OUT OF THE VILLAGE (2015) directed by Jonathan Stein.
The role he played in BEAST OF NO NATION has won him awards: Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead, Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor or Actress.He has also being nominated for several awards including NAACP IMAGE Award for Outstanding Actor in Motion Picture,
Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Actor, etc. Atta has relocated to the states and has won a scholarship to study in the states.
